New UKHSA London Region Health Protection Team Contact Details from 16th April 2024
UKHSA London Region: We’re making changes on 16 April 2024 What’s changing and when?? On 16 April our two north London teams (NWL and NENCL) are joining to become one North London health protection team, to work alongside our South London health protection team and delivering the same high-quality service. At the same time, we’re changing email addresses, so both our North London (NL) and South London (SL) teams will use the same new email addresses:· london.region@ukhsa.gov.uk · phe.london.region@nhs.net for PII (patient identifiable information) Our phone number will stay the same 0300 30 30 450. Please use this number, during the day or out of hours, and regardless of where in London you are calling from.

New all-through special free school for Havering
The London Borough of Havering has identified the need to establish a new school to meet the increasing demand for specialist provision in the borough. This follows Section 6A of the Education and Inspections Act 2006 (the 'free school presumption'), where a local authority must seek proposals from suitably qualified organisations to establish a new school as a 'free school'. The new 300 place all-through special school will be established at Balgores Field site in Romford and is planned to open from September 2027. As the strategic commissioner of special school places in the local area, we are launching a competition process to appoint a suitably qualified academy trust to run the new special free school. All suitably qualified academy trusts are encouraged to apply. We are particularly seeking an academy trust with a reputable track record of operating special schools for pupils with Communication and Interaction and Social, Emotional, Mental and Health needs. HES announced as ERA 2024 finalists
We are once again pleased to announce that HES has been shortlisted for the Education Resources Awards 2024 in the ‘Supplier of the Year – Not for Profit’ category.
